Comment by Julia Nussholz on April 25, 2012 at 11:20am Great idea! To me this is a very promising practice and a vision that, I think, our society absolutely needs to aim for. This idea responds to current trends in industrialized lifestyles such as increased individualisation, shortened product lifetime and property orientation. It provides a feasible solution through extending the product lifetime, increasing shared use and a shift away from ownershift. That way, it encourages a closed cycle economy in which an incentive to manufacturers is provided to supply goods, which have a long life and are reusable.
It is a fun idea and meanwhile I think it has the potential to minimise environmental impact of consumption and production and pave the way away from a throw-away society to a repair- and reuse-society.
